SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) is one of the major general-purpose synthetic rubbers. It is a random copolymer of styrene and butadiene with physical and processing characteristics close to natural rubber.
SBR offers good abrasion resistance and ageing stability when protected by additives. It is used in tyres, belts, hoses, wire and cable, medical instruments, seals, gaskets, panels, grommets and custom-moulded plumbing components.
